Mi Familia Vota in California’s Central Valley

Are you frustrated by low voter turnout and attempts to suppress voting? Here’s a ridiculously easy way to join the fight…come to a party and donate.

Mi Familia Vota  is a national civic engagement organization that unites Latino, immigrant and allied communities to promote social and and economic justice through citizenship workshops, voter registration and voter participation.  (Check out their Introduction video.)

Mi Familia Vota will be working extensively this summer and fall in California’s Central Valley to register voters and get out the vote in Latino Communities.  Spanish-speakers are essential to holding useful conversations with Latinos whose English does not include phrases like “preexisting conditions” or who have not been encouraged to vote before.

National Voter Corps is supporting the Mi Familia Vota Education Fund, a 501.c3, by holding a fundraiser in Palo Alto on August 12. We hope you will be able to attend  and donate to this important cause.  UPDATE: The fundraiser  was a great success – over $25,000 raised!

THANK YOU for helping every citizen vote!
